Tribute To My Sister Aishat Aliyu Umar On Her Birthday.

Not everyone in the world has a sister. Among those that do, not too many can say they have a really great sister. But I can. Her name is Aisha Aliyu Umar

The Lord gave her to me on 16 July, 1992; when I was just about three and half years old. I wish I could say that I appreciated His gift from the very beginning, but I guess it took me some time to figure the whole sister thing out. There’s a story told in my family which alleges that when Aisha was only a baby, I poked her with a pencil because I was annoyed that she wouldn’t talk to me. All I can say is that I have no recollection of such an incident. But can’t forget the plement of “Karatun Allo” at their resident, that’s were I know her more! my apology to Talatu (Second name unknown).

But even without any pencil-poking, I do know that Aisha has always been a better sister than I deserved. Fortunately for me, she extended grace and kept me on as a family member long enough for me to start getting my act together and become the big brother I should be. Her immerse contribution to my study is meritorious indeed. Only God can payy her for I have nothing much to pay her with. #JazakallahuKhairaan

Over the last several years, the Lord has brought us closer together than we’ve ever been before. I can honestly say that Aisha is my best friend. She’s second only to Halima’s Square (Sokoto &Julde), these three creature gift were the best thing that have ever happened to me. I Thanks thee lord for the blessing!

On my speed-dial list and has always been ready to share my greatest joys and deepest pain. Two words come to mind when I think of my sister Aishat’s character—Simplicity, tender, caring and compassionate.

I’ve found that few people I know are capable of entering into another’s world to listen, comfort, and feel what the other person is feeling quite as readily as Aisha can. In her genuine concern for others, I see reflections of our Khadeejah bint Khuwaylid (RA). (The wife of prophet muhammad) Compassion and yakeen!

If you were to compare her to Sokoto and Julde (Halima), Aisha would definitely take the role of the one who understands the importance of sitting at our Lord’s feet. She has always seemed to be keenly aware of her dependence on her thee lord. I never wish to have her as partner. But I once wish to get somebody like her. probably better than her. Ameen!

Today is a special day; it’s my little sister’s birthday. Not everyone has a sister like Aisha, but I’m so thankful that I do. My prayer for her on this special day is; May God’s awesome blessings Be upon you this day And for the future years ahead, May His blessings never fade In every area of your life, May God abound much more, So you may be a fruitful vine With the abundance of the Lord. Ameen Thumma Ameen!

Happy Birthday Sister Aishat Aliyu Umar
Long Live and Prosperity!
